Great news...

So I get a call today from my OB's office. My dr. is on medical leave until further notice. Great. Just great. I love my dr and didn't change when I disagreed with some of the practices of the office. So now I have to see one of the other dr's until she returns. They are male, I've never been to a male dr for this area of my body before. I really hope she's ok, because I already want her back.

Prenatal visit #1

Today was my first official prenatal appointment! There are so many forms to fill out. Everything looks great and is progressing well. I did get to see a grainy picture, I can't wait until the next ultrasound! I feel great (except the headache). My due date is still November 1!!!

I have had a sinus headache for 6 days now and I fear it's only going to get worse because of the high pollen counts. Nothinng helps.

You can yell at me now, everyone else has!!

Yesterday, I helped break up a girl fight at school and got punched in the arm in the process. I'm fine and not injured. I also don't normally break up fights, but another teacher asked me for help. I couldn't say no as no one at school knows about Punkin. But those who know have been yelling at me, so I guess I'm giving everyone else the chance too!!!

Getting better!

I went to the doctor yesterday, I do have bronchitis. I was given a stronger antibiotic. I feel so much better today!

Today, Ben and I went to a baby consignment sale. We bought a few things for the baby room, we got some great deals. We also stocked up on a few baby essentials at Target.

Sick, sick, sicky.....

That's what Ben calls me when I am sick. And that's what I am at the moment. I started with a head cold/sinus infection. Now it has settled into my chest. I have used massive amounts of Kleenex, so much, my nose is red and raw. You know you're sick when you're own mom tells you that you look terrible! The worst part is that I can't take much of anything to help get better. I was put on a Z-pack, but that hasn't kicked in yet.

First Sonogram!

Ok, this is the first time I (Ben) have tried this blogging thing besides Facebook. The task has been given to me to upload the scans of our first Sonogram. I have also added arrows to point out the important stuff. The first one here is the standard sonogram. The red arrow on the left is pointing to the head, while the rest of the 6 mm body is the rest of that white section within the dark area. Stephanie could, and probably will elaborate on the technical stuff I'm missing.

And in this one I've circled the baby and the arrow at the bottom is pointing to the visualization of the heartbeat, a strong 130 beats per minute. I'm gonna be a proud papa!

Can't wait!

I can't wait until tomorrow! We get our first picture of our little Punkin! This has been the longest 2 1/2 weeks of my life.

I have to say, thankfully so, that I still haven't had much early pregnancy problems. I am looking at this as a great sign. My sister said that we worked so hard to get here, that my pregnancy SHOULD be easy. I was talking to my mom about it today, she said that she never had any problems either.
